About the Role:

As a Therapeutic Radiographer, you will deliver high quality radiotherapy treatments to patients, supporting their diagnosis, treatment and recovery across a variety of clinical specialties. You will work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide precise, patient-centred care while upholding the highest professional standards.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Planning and preparing radiotherapy treatment sessions
    · Administering radiotherapy treatments safely and accurately
    · Monitoring patient response during and after treatment
    · Maintaining detailed and accurate records of treatments delivered
    · Ensuring the correct positioning and immobilisation of patients for each session
    · Providing support and reassurance to patients before, during and after treatment
    · Collaborating with oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals
    · Participating in quality assurance and safety procedures
    · Assisting in the education and training of junior staff and students
    · Keeping up to date with advancements in radiotherapy techniques and equipment

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Therapeutic Radiography, or equivalent recognised qualification
    · Typically, 2 or more years of experience working as a Therapeutic Radiographer within a clinical or hospital environment

Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of cancer care and radiotherapy principles
    · Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
    · Proficiency with radiotherapy planning systems and treatment machines
    · Excellent communication and patient care skills
    · Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    · Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
    · Good physical stamina and manual dexterity
