About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate NICU Nurse to join our team working at Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust through HCRG Staffing Connect. This role offers the opportunity to provide specialist care to premature and critically ill newborns while supporting families and contributing to the delivery of high-quality neonatal healthcare services within an NHS setting.

HCRG Staffing Connect is the app-enabled nursing agency, backed by HCRG Staffing. Our team of consultants and the app work together to enable nurses like you to take control of your work. Book shifts yourself, via a consultant, or use Auto-book to let us know when you want to work. The app will automatically pick up the shifts you want as soon as they’re published.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist nursing care to premature, critically ill, and high-risk newborns
  • Monitor and assess neonatal patients, responding to changes in condition
  • Support feeding, medication administration, and complex neonatal care interventions
  • Manage neonatal equipment, including monitoring systems and respiratory support
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver individualised care plans
  • Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
  • Provide compassionate support and guidance to parents and families
  • Follow infection control, safeguarding, and patient safety procedures

Who We’re Looking For

Education: Nursing degree or equivalent qualification
Experience: 1 year of experience as a NICU Nurse
Licences:
Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)

Skills:

  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to remain calm and responsive in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Compassionate and family-centred approach to care
  • Strong attention to detail and clinical judgement
  • Ability to provide safe, evidence-based neonatal care
