Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Salary: £18.57 – £42.19
Location: Manchester

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support young people aged 16-25 with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, learning disabilities, and communication difficulties.
This is a rewarding opportunity to help learners develop their confidence, independence, and life skills within both educational and community settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Support learners with their educational, social, and personal development.
- Work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored learning activities.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
- Support learners in developing practical life skills, including travel training and community access.
- Build positive relationships with learners and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and individual support plans.
Requirements
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
- GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- A caring, patient, and positive attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Previous experience in education, care, support work, or youth work is desirable but not essential.
