Celebrating 115 Years of International Women’s Day

02.03.2026

International Women’s Day is an opportunity to celebrate women’s achievements, reflect on the challenges they continue to face, and commit to creating a fairer, more supportive world. At HCRG Staffing, we know that change comes from both individual and organisational actions, and supporting women is something that matters every day.

Women make a vital contribution to workplaces, families, and communities across the world, yet inequality persists across many areas:

  • On average, 25–40% of women earn less than men in the same role.
  • 60% of people who cannot read are women, showing how access to education remains unequal in many parts of the world.
  • 122 million girls are out of school worldwide.

Behind each statistic is a real story, of women balancing careers, family responsibilities, education, and personal wellbeing, often under significant pressure. These numbers remind us that while progress has been made, there is still a lot of work to do to ensure equality, safety, and opportunity for all women.

Supporting women doesn’t have to be complicated or formal. It can be as simple as asking a colleague how they’re doing, offering guidance or advice when it’s needed, recognising someone’s efforts, or making sure everyone feels included and listened to. When workplaces pay attention to equality and wellbeing, it doesn’t just help women, it makes the whole team and community stronger and healthier.

What International Women’s Day means for us

International Women’s Day is a chance to realise the important role women play in our teams, families, and the wider community. It’s a time to reflect on the challenges women still face every day, and the steps we can take to make things more equal.

For us, it’s about creating an environment where women feel supported, have access to opportunities, and can do their jobs without unnecessary obstacles.
