We are delighted to announce that Gezz Van Zwanenberg, Chief Operating Officer at HCRG Staffing, has been appointed as a patron of Cavell, the UK charity dedicated to supporting nurses, midwives and healthcare professionals when they need it most.
As a former RAF Nurse, Gezz has extensive frontline and senior leadership experience, having served in challenging environments including Sierra Leone, Iraq and Afghanistan, before progressing into critical care leadership roles, including leading critical care transfers at London’s Nightingale Hospital during the Covid-19 pandemic.
At HCRG Staffing, Gezz currently leads our operational teams in delivering specialist healthcare recruitment solutions, supporting the NHS and independent providers to fill critical nursing, midwifery and community roles, including hard-to-fill areas such as dermatology, community paediatrics, and specialist community nursing.
“I am seeing and hearing from nurses, colleagues, employers and clients about the pressures faced and what support is and isn’t available. I am now involved with Occupational Health where we provide services to NHS and private healthcare settings and see that impact on nurses. Throughout my career I have been fortunate that there were senior nurses to inspire, guide and support me and so I am hoping to deliver this for fellow nurses. I hope to contribute to the “working with” membership programme so we can influence and support the wider nursing workforce.” – said Gezz Van Zwanenberg, Chief Operating Officer at HCRG Staffing.
This appointment aligns closely with HCRG Staffing’s mission to support and empower the healthcare workforce. We are proud that Gezz’s leadership, commitment to excellence and deep understanding of frontline clinical and workforce challenges will help champion Cavell’s work and extend its reach across the healthcare community.
