About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate ITU Nurse to join our team working at Dorset County through HCRG Staffing Connect. This role offers the opportunity to provide specialist care to critically ill patients while supporting the delivery of high-quality healthcare services within an NHS setting.

HCRG Staffing Connect is the app-enabled nursing agency, backed by HCRG Staffing. Our team of consultants and the app work together to enable nurses like you to take control of your work. Book shifts yourself, via a consultant, or use Auto-book to let us know when you want to work. The app will automatically pick up the shifts you want as soon as they’re published.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care to critically ill patients within an Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU) setting
  • Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition
  • Manage complex treatments, medications, and clinical equipment
  • Support ventilated patients and advanced life-support interventions
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver effective care plans
  • Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
  • Provide support and communication to patients’ families
  • Follow infection control, safeguarding, and patient safety procedures

Who We’re Looking For

Education: Nursing degree or equivalent qualification
Licences: Current NMC pin
Experience: 1 years’ experience

  • Previous experience working within an Intensive Care, Intensive Therapy, Critical Care, or High Dependency environment
  • Experience caring for critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions
  • Confident managing ventilated patients and complex clinical equipment
