Salary: £20.00 to £27.00 Gross per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RMN to join our team working at Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. This role offers delivering high-quality, person-centred mental health care across a range of inpatient, community, and specialist settings. You will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health needs, promoting recovery, wellbeing, and positive outcomes in a safe and therapeutic environment. Thanks to our close partnership with Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust we have shifts for the right RMNs right now.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based mental health nursing care in line with care plans and clinical best practice
  • Conduct mental state assessments, risk assessments, and ongoing patient monitoring
  • Administer medication safely and in accordance with NMC and organisational guidelines
  • Support service users through crisis intervention, recovery planning, and therapeutic engagement
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social care professionals
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation
  • Promote safeguarding, dignity, and patient safety at all times

Who We’re Looking For

  • Education: Nursing degree or equivalent qualification in Mental Health Nursing
  • Licenses: Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Mental Health Nurse

Experience: 1 years

  • Previous experience working within mental health settings (inpatient or community)
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex mental health needs and risk management

Skills

  • Strong assessment, communication, and therapeutic engagement skills
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in challenging or high-pressure situations
  • Compassionate, recovery-focused approach to patient care
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal abilities
